The phones won't find each other

• Both people need to press and hold the screen at the same time.
• Put the phones back to back or side by side, touching. Phone cases are fine.
• Check Bluetooth is on and Hold is allowed to use it (Settings → Hold on iPhone; Settings → Apps → Hold → Permissions on Android).

It keeps saying "Drifted apart"

Keep the phones touching for the whole hold. If it still happens, try a different side of the phone. Bluetooth antennas sit in different places on different phones.

Holding with more than two people

Up to four people can hold together. Start with two, then everyone else presses and brings their phone close to the first two.

Moving to a new phone

Hold has no account, so your days live in your phone's backup. Set up your new phone from an iCloud or Google backup of the old one and they should come along. Moving between iPhone and Android isn't possible yet.

Deleting your data

Open someone's page to delete your history with them, or delete the app to remove everything. See Privacy.
